Job summary

Ferco Tech is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician Assistant to support the maintenance of our manufacturing facility, production equipment, and building systems. This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on training and mentorship to develop basic maintenance skills in an industrial setting.

With time, responsibilities will expand to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility upkeep, while upholding safety standards and teamwork across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of general building, facility, mechanical, or equipment maintenance preferred.
• Prior experience with basic repairs or tool use is a plus.
• Manufacturing or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Perform basic facility maintenance including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, hardware replacement, and general building repairs.
• Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance on production machines and facility systems.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues under supervision.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow safety procedures (LOTO).
• Support safety initiatives and repair tasks as needed.
