Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company seeks an Industrial Maintenance Apprentice in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This role balances hands-on training with mandatory academic coursework to repair and fabricate facility machinery while pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree.

You will repair and maintain production and facility equipment, learn maintenance procedures, troubleshoot, and participate in plant improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work flexible and extended hours.
• Previous technical school background or related experience.
• Willing to learn maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repair.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repair.
• Previous industrial maintenance/manufacturing experience and/or preventive maintenance.
• PLC training or experience.
• Electrical/electronic training.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a variety of production and facility equipment.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel and supervisors as required.
• Move machines and install pipe, fixtures, and related equipment; support plant improvement projects.
• Use machine tools or other equipment to form/fabricate parts and components.
• Build simple structures from wood, metal, or other materials using hand tools, power tools and welding.
• Get required tools, clean up area, and store tools and equipment.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Participate in continuing education courses in pursuit of AAS degree.
