Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Some welding and torching experience.
• Working knowledge of electricity.
• Ability to work daily and weekend overtime.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety procedures.
• Critically analyze production problems and perform repairs to meet production needs.
• Repair and rebuild portable tools, bearings, conveyors, and other small equipment.
• Make minor electrical installations and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic equipment; perform welding and fabrication.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Report defective equipment to maintenance supervisor.
• Interpret information from operations personnel for necessary adjustments.
• Train operation personnel in lockout/tagout, PM, lubrication, and troubleshooting.
• Cooperate with outside contractors for complex tasks.
• Support daily yard operations for safety and profitability.
