Job summary

Gerdau is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform a wide range of maintenance duties on plant equipment, machinery, and tools. The role involves diagnosing, dismantling, repairing, lubricating, and reassembling components to keep plant operations running efficiently.

The candidate will read schematics and blueprints, service pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and weld or fabricate as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AAS in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Verifiable maintenance technical training expected.
• Experience in heavy industrial maintenance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, repair, and perform maintenance duties from schematics and manuals.
• Inspect and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Tear down and replace worn parts; weld, cut, and align components as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
