Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Electronics, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, cranes, etc.
• Recent and stable work history.
• Experience with operating basic hand tools.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge. Some electronic knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform schedule and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Conduct machine setup and routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
• Perform maintenance on plant equipment and machinery including overhead cranes.
• Install, repair, and replace worn parts, motors, and control devices; troubleshoot equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems and reference manuals as needed.
• Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and document work performed.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Work with understanding of safety precautions and wear required PPE.
• Be flexible with shifts and overtime as needed.

Starting Pay: Up to $32.00/hr, based on experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs schedule/unscheduled maintenance on the physical plant, electrical, mechanical and electronic repairs and troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning CNC-control mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

1. All facility maintenance mechanical, electrical, electronic, and the physical condition of building.
2. Conduct machine setup.
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
4. Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
5. Performs preventive maintenance repairs and trouble shoot overhead cranes.
6. Installing, repairing/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, electronics, etc., and troubleshooting all equipment.
7. Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems and determine how to correct them, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
8. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
9. Record maintenance and repair worked performed.
10. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
11. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
12. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
13. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 5 or more years experience in dealing with maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Electronics, Electrical repairs, Industrial Equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, cranes, etc.
• Must have recent and stable work history.
• Must have experience with operating basic hand tools.
• Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge. Some electronic knowledge is helpful.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Must be able to read drawings.
• Reliable work ethics with great attendance.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
• MUST be flexible with ALL shifts and Overtime if needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work involves moderate to heavy exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Moderate to heavy physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than six (6) hours per day.
• Able to climb portable ladders, crawl under and climb onto machinery and equipment and able to enter and exit confined spaces.
• Work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require strict understanding and adherence to safety precautions. Must wear/use approved applicable safety equipment, as needed.
