Job summary

MS Companies, LLC in Nashville, TN seeks a skilled Machinist to support maintenance and production operations at its facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and fabricate components for industrial equipment while supporting preventive and emergency maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical professional with strong machining skills, capable of reading mechanical prints and following technical documentation, and willing to obtain certifications to operate PIV

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, machining, or related mechanical field.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and surface grinders.
• Ability to read and follow mechanical prints, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Ability to work safely and independently while following EHS policies and procedures.
• Must be willing to complete required training and obtain certifications to operate PIV equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, emergency, and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to restore operations safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical problems, complete repairs, and identify root causes to prevent recurring failures.
• Operate lathes, mills, drill presses, surface grinders, welders, and other machine shop equipment.
• Fabricate, refurbish, or duplicate mechanical parts as needed to support equipment repairs.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other inspection tools.
• Communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complete general maintenance duties, training, and other assignments as directed.
