Job summary

Voith US Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair customer-owned equipment, disassemble and inspect for repair or overhaul, and reassemble with replaced parts to meet customer deadlines with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Training will be provided to candidates with mechanical experience from automotive, maintenance, or related roles. The role operates in a climate-controlled shop environment with full tool support and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of related experience with industrial equipment or auto mechanic background.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Mechanical assembly skills.
• Proficiency with hand, electrical and air operated shop tools.
• Knowledge of shop practices, machines and related equipment.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams.
• Basic computer skills.
• Painting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair of machinery, including gearboxes, rail couplers, fluid couplings, torque converters, automatic transmissions, pumps, and others.
• Read drawings and document precision measurements.
• Utilize crane/hoist, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues.
• Perform work assignments in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Understand and apply quality workmanship requirements for each job.
• Participate in continuous improvement in safety and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
