Job summary

CJ Search Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support heavy processing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in South Carolina. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and improving mechanical systems to maximize production uptime.

You will collaborate with electrical technicians on major repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and read mechanical drawings and OEM manuals.

Qualifications

Experience in steel processing or heavy manufacturing preferred.
Welding and metal fabrication experience.
Experience with slitting equipment, overhead cranes, and heavy material handling systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, and power transmission equipment.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, filters, hoses, regulators, and actuators.
Perform precision alignment of motors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
Replace bearings, seals, shafts, rollers, wear components, and mechanical assemblies.
Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor machining as required.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, pneumatic diagrams, OEM manuals, and assembly drawings.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including writing daily reports, responding to emails, and searching for replacement parts via computer.
Maintain proper care and cleanliness of tools, equipment, materials, and work areas while providing shift coverage as needed.
