Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking skilled workers to install, align, and commission machinery at various sites. You will read blueprints, dismantle and move equipment, and assemble foundations with hand and power tools. The role requires rigging, hoisting, and precise alignment to meet dimensional specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to three years related experience and/or training.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
• Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.
• Operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to specifications.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment.
