Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Contract Low Voltage Technician to install and maintain low voltage and fiber optic cabling in an industrial setting. The role involves interpreting electrical blueprints, mounting cabinets, and using hand and power tools to complete installations and troubleshoot issues.

The technician will work on cabling runs, ensure reliable connectivity to equipment, and safely use lifts to access elevated areas.

Qualifications

Ability to read electrical blueprints and diagrams to plan cabling routes.
Proven experience installing low voltage and fiber optic cabling in industrial settings.
Familiarity with mounting cabinets and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Install low voltage and fiber optic cabling in industrial facilities, including fiber and copper cable runs.
Run fiber and computer cabling to equipment cages, testing equipment, and assembly line machinery to ensure reliable connectivity.
Mount and secure cabinets and related infrastructure to support network and electrical systems.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute cabling routes and installations.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform cabling, mounting, and installation tasks.
Operate scissor lifts or boom lifts to access elevated areas
