Job summary

Halifax Linen Service is seeking a technician to work in our soil linen, iron, and folding areas. You will sort soiled linens, feed into ironing, fold, pack, and load carts. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and open availability to meet daily needs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED plus at least one year of relevant experience, plus excellent communication. Base wages may increase after 90 days if production rates are met during probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machine following established procedures and policies.
• Ensures machinery operates efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements.
• Performs daily inspections prior to beginning operations.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation when needed.
• Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures.
