Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a maintenance technician to support a high‑volume laundry operation. You will perform preventive maintenance on industrial washers and dryers and handle basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tasks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, ordering parts, maintaining the daily maintenance schedule and records, keeping a safe, clean work environment, following lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Industrial laundry or manufacturing maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment incl. industrial washers and dryers.
• Repair or replace equipment; perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Troubleshoot and follow manuals/schematics.
• Order parts/tools per policy.
• Maintain daily maintenance schedule and records.
• Handle removal/processing of waste solids from treatment process.
• Troubleshoot wastewater equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a safe/clean work environment; follow safety policies.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Other duties as required.
