Job summary

Vestis provides uniforms, workplace supplies, and professional cleaning for North American customers. The position is in an industrial laundry facility in South Bend, focusing on safe, efficient, and accurate handling of merchandise.

You will follow a garment routing system, manage conveyors, inspect quality, and work as part of a team on shift schedules that may include weekends and overtime. High school degree preferred; basic math and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong math skills for basic calculations.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with garment numbering system (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follows a shipping schedule and sorts garments by route or customer number.
• Places garments on conveyors or hooks according to route and sort.
• Hangs shirts and pants by route and batch to optimize workflow.
• Identifies and re-hangs garments with defects or misplacements.
• Notifies supervisor of quality, mechanical, or scheduling issues.
• Monitors lines for jams and takes corrective action as needed.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment and adheres to production standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
