Job summary

Vestis is seeking a team member to perform safe, efficient handling of merchandise in an industrial laundry facility. You will load, operate, and monitor washers and dryers, verify batch tickets, and ensure proper moisture levels and temperatures for products.

The role requires basic math, reliable attendance, and the ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma preferred, with potential for overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Checks all machine safety devices before operating equipment and records and signs the appropriate equipment safety form.
• When loading washer, retrieve sling from storage and maneuvers sling to the washer’s rails and in front of the washer.
• Loads and operate washer/dryer following the correct procedures and safety guidelines.
• Records batch information on the machine form and enters weights into system.
• Ensures items are properly cooled, moisture levels are correct, and slings have no tears.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows production policies.
