Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician at the Fernandina Plant to perform sample collection and testing, ensuring quality control across laboratory tests in indoor and outdoor plant environments.

The role requires learning complex test methods, operating instruments such as analytical balance, pH meter, titrator, brightness meter, pulp extractor, sheet former, oven, ash furnace, centrifuge, microscope and maintaining safety rules; candidates must be able to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass CareerSource Testing requirement.
• At least two (2) years of industrial or related experience.
• Aptitude to learn complex processes, work with computers & instrumentation equipment.
• Able to work rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Pass drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
• Be self-directed with strong work ethic.
• Understand and adhere to all Safety Rules of the Laboratory and the Plant.
• Maintain good attendance.

Responsabilités

• Learn detailed laboratory testing procedures and follow written methods to produce repeatable results.
• Work with instruments such as analytical balance, pH meter, titrator, brightness meter, and other lab equipment.
• Collaborate with Pulp Plant operators to determine proper sampling timing.
• Record data on worksheets and computer systems accurately.
• Collect environmental samples and perform some environmental tests.
• Stock chemicals and lab supplies, package and ship items, and keep the department tidy.
