Job summary

Austin Industrial in Loudon, TN is seeking an experienced Insulator to install, repair, and insulate surfaces such as pipes, ducts, tanks and boilers to control noise and temperatures. Read blueprints and work at heights with confidence.

This full-time position requires 3–5 years Journeyman experience, a valid driver's license, and legal authorization to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must be able to apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and selects required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form) based on heat retention and surface.
• Measure and cut insulation material to size and shape using handsaw, knife, or scissors.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation material following blueprint specifications.
• Cover or seal insulation to secure it to the structure.
