Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to perform hands‑on checks, calibrations, and PLC logic programming, while diagnosing control circuitry issues in an essential industry.

Role offers a 4-day workweek with day shifts and locations including Grantsville, Tooele, Magna and Salt Lake City. Growth, training, and comprehensive benefits are provided as part of a strong health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3-5+ years of oil, refinery, chemical, or steel mill experience preferred.
• Instrument and/or electrical training or degree preferred.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and how to diagnose mechanical issues.
• Ability to work a rotating shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the priority by following safe work practices.
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions.
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations.
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required.
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring).
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
• Services and replaces motors and lighting.
• Performs general electrical maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands‑on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

4-DAY WEEK – DAY SHIFT

Vanpool/shuttle - Grantsville, Tooele, Magna, Salt Lake City (near Sutherlands on Redwood Road)
