Job summary

Austin Industrial is hiring an Instrument Technician to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrument devices across our industrial projects. You will work with electricians, technicians and engineers to ensure instrument systems meet operating specs.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year journeyman background, NCCER certification, a TWIC card and a valid driver's license, and can read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Requires journeyman level experience.
• NCCER certification, TWIC card, and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read manuals and instrumentation schematics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin cannot sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate and install tubing and tub trays.
• Calibrate equipment using standard procedures.
• Read blueprints, schematics and loop drawings and prepare job reports.
• Assemble and disassemble instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
