Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Industrial Inside Sales Person for our Baytown, TX location to prepare quotes, assist in managing customer accounts, and grow sales with existing and new customers.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of sales experience, knowledge of welding and gas products, and strong communication and CRM skills. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits across the AWG network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or industry experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous sales experience.
• Knowledge of welding and gas products strongly preferred.
• Industrial sales experience strongly preferred.
• Successful track record of managing a sale territory.
• Strong time and management skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Needs a strong industrial background.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for customers.
• Assist Territory Managers to review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to minimize working capital investment and financial risk.
• Intake calls from customers for new orders or assist in resolving emergency orders.
• Call on 'house' accounts with annual sales below $10,000 to increase sales volume and frequency.
• Grow sales with those customers through telemarketing of other products.
• Collaborate with the Sales VP to set call benchmarks, track opportunities, and define goals for sales and margins.
• Use Outlook, Call Proof, or other CRM platforms for planning, scheduling, and time management.
• Maintain a positive attitude with all associates, customers, vendors, and other partners.
• Meet goals and objectives set by management.
• Other duties as assigned.
