Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Martinez, CA is seeking a high-energy Instrument and Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and controls at the Martinez site and nearby refinery locations.

The role is hourly, involves four 10-hour shifts (6am-4pm), and requires up to 10% travel to support other HYCO facilities. You will work with transmitters, analyzers, PLCs, and safety systems, and you will enter data into SAP and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent required.
• Minimum five years of experience with calibration and troubleshooting of industrial plant instrumentation and controls.
• Knowledge of PLC and DCS controls is a plus.
• SAP knowledge is desired.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with safety as a primary focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, and modify plant instrumentation and controls.
• Troubleshoot and work with Instrument Engineering Support to maintain distributed control systems.
• Prepare technical reports and enter information into SAP for equipment documentation.
