Job summary

Westlake is seeking an I&E Technician to provide instrumentation and electrical maintenance for our facility. The role emphasizes safe and economical preventive and repair work on process equipment.

Responsibilities include calibration, documentation, and supporting engineering with instrument applications. Candidates should have strong reading of electrical drawings and at least 3 years in an industrial plant, with a certificate from an instrument/electrical school preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong background in maintaining process instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, repair, and verify process instrumentation and electrical equipment for accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and document preventive/predictive maintenance schedules to maximize on-stream time.
• Assist production and engineering with instrumentation applications and modifications.
• Maintain records for instrument/electrical department including equipment history and vendor resources.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards; participate in continuous improvement.
• Be available for plant operations outside normal hours when needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to other I/E technicians as directed.
