Job summary

The Industrial Hygienist will maintain OSHA logs (300, 300A, 301), conduct hazard assessments, and contribute to the IH program at FEMA Headquarters in Washington, DC.

You will perform root-cause analyses, support SOP updates, coordinate with government staff, and prepare reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

A Bachelor’s in IH or related field and 6+ years of experience are required, with strong writing and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health, safety, engineering, or related STEM field.
• 6+ years of professional industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or environmental health and safety experience.
• Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping (OSHA 300, 300A, 301).
• Conduct safety incident reviews, root-cause analyses, and trend evaluations with written summaries and corrective actions.
• Support development, review, and updates of safety and IH policies, SOPs, and program documents.
