Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Industrial Hygienist at the Carlin operation to lead health initiatives, develop policies, and promote safety awareness for employees and contractors. The role focuses on IH program development, data analysis, and regulatory compliance within a mining environment.

Responsibilities include training, sampling, records management, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain a safe workplace and support loss prevention efforts across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in occupational exposure assessments, sampling equipment, and data interpretation.
• Certified IH professional (CIH/CSP) preferred or ability to obtain.
• Strong MS Office skills required.
• Experience in mining or regulatory environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and coordinate IH initiatives following Nevada Gold Mines processes.
• Implement, evaluate, and maintain IH standards, policies, and programs.
• Develop and instruct IH and MSHA training for employees and contractors.
• Develop sampling plans and conduct sampling.
• Collect, maintain, and analyze data using inferential statistics.
• Maintain records and reports; engage stakeholders on IH issues.
• Manage Cority/EHS software and IH data systems.
• Direct work of Industrial Hygiene Technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
