Job summary

Apex is seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Professional to be based in Eugene, OR. You will lead field investigations focusing on indoor environmental quality and occupant health, collect air and surface samples, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify hazards and plan corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Building Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or environmental consulting.
• Experience with indoor air quality, building assessments, moisture/mold investigations, asbestos or lead is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA/NIOSH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support indoor environmental quality and occupant health projects.
• Conduct field investigations and environmental sampling for IAQ, moisture, mold and building materials.
• Assist with building assessments and hazard identification with recommended actions.
• Collect air, bulk, surface wipe samples and document field observations.
• Prepare technical reports, field documentation, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, labs, and project team members; communicate findings professionally.
