Apex is seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Professional to be based in Eugene, OR. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Building Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or environmental consulting.
• Experience with indoor air quality, building assessments, moisture/mold investigations, asbestos or lead is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA/NIOSH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support indoor environmental quality and occupant health projects.
• Conduct field investigations and environmental sampling for IAQ, moisture, mold and building materials.
• Assist with building assessments and hazard identification with recommended actions.
• Collect air, bulk, surface wipe samples and document field observations.
• Prepare technical reports, field documentation, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, labs, and project team members; communicate findings professionally.

Apex is seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Professional to be based in Eugene, OR .

Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Professional:

• Support building assessments and environmental health projects focused on indoor environmental quality and occupant health.
• Conduct field investigations and environmental sampling related to indoor air quality, moisture, mold, building materials, and other potential environmental concerns.
• Assist with assessments of buildings and facilities to identify potential environmental hazards and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Collect air, bulk, surface wipe, and other environmental samples using established protocols and procedures.
• Perform visual inspections and document building conditions, including moisture intrusion, water damage, ventilation concerns, and other potential sources of exposure.
• Assist with asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, and other building-related environmental assessments as needed.
• Review field data and laboratory results and assist with preparing recommendations and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, field documentation, sampling reports, and other client deliverables.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination with clients, contractors, laboratories, and other project team members.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and project teams regarding field activities, findings, and project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including industrial hygienists, environmental scientists, engineers, safety professionals, facility managers, and contractors.
• Follow established safety procedures and industry standards while performing field work.
• Continue developing technical knowledge related to industrial hygiene, indoor environmental quality, building science, and applicable regulations.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Building Science, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, indoor air quality, building assessments, or a related field preferred. Relevant internship or field experience will be considered.
• Experience or coursework related to indoor air quality, environmental sampling, building assessments, moisture/mold investigations, asbestos, lead, or hazardous materials is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document field observations and findings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel locally or regionally as project needs require.
• Comfortable working in a variety of building environments, including commercial, educational, industrial, and institutional facilities.
• Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn standard environmental data management and reporting tools.
