Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an on-site IH technician position at the Henderson mine/mill complex near Empire, CO. The role includes collecting air samples, performing exposure assessments, and maintaining IH equipment on a 50/50 split between Henderson Mine (Empire) and Henderson Mill (Parshall).

The role requires 2 years of relevant H&S/analytical experience and an Associate's degree in a related field, with on-site housing allowance eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of industry experience including relevant H&S and/or analytical experience, including one year as H&S technician, IH technician, laboratory technician, environmental technician, or closely related work.
• Associates degree in a related field and no experience

Responsibilities

• Collect industrial hygiene samples (air, vapors, gases, dust, fumes) for analysis.
• Perform exposure assessments and analyses of procedures, audits, and investigations.
• Maintain knowledge of Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Care for and maintain industrial hygiene sampling equipment.
• Develop remedial actions in response to unsafe conditions or practices.
• Enter data for sampling campaigns and draft reports for management.
