Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan's Henderson mine and mill near Empire, CO, is hiring an Industrial Hygiene Technician to support safety programs, collect samples, and ensure regulatory compliance in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of industry experience including H&S or analytical work.
• Associates degree in a related field and no experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect industrial hygiene samples of air, vapors, gases, dust, fumes and other potentially toxic materials.
• Perform exposure assessments and audits to identify unsafe conditions.
• Develop knowledge of OSHA, MSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Maintain IH sampling equipment and records.
• Draft reports and presentations for management.
