Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services (MSTS) is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene professional to support underground and construction work areas at NNSS. The role focuses on monitoring, sampling, and advising on health hazards to ensure OSHA and DOE standard compliance.

The candidate will calibrate equipment, conduct air and swipe sampling, and prepare technical reports with corrective recommendations. A strong emphasis on teamwork and disciplined work practices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in calculus-based technical (STEM) field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to build teaming relationships with technical and other company organizations.
• Executes work in a disciplined manner to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, operates, and ensures calibration of sampling/monitoring equipment.
• Conducts air and gas sampling (e.g., Beryllium, Lead, Noise) as required.
• Performs routine swipe sampling to characterize work areas and releases.
• Coordinates submittal of samples to laboratory and ensures timely reporting.
• Participates in pre-job briefings focusing on industrial hygiene issues.
• Assists in developing technical reports and safety recommendations.
• Gains knowledge of OSHA and DOE safety procedures and standards.
• Supports participation in MSTS environment, safety, and health initiatives.
