Amentum is seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist to support the DOE NETL operations in Morgantown, WV. The role involves coordinating health hazard assessments, exposure monitoring, and hazard analyses within an interdisciplinary ES&H team.

The ideal candidate will have a CIH certification, a Bachelor’s in ES&H or related field, and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in ES&H or related field (e.g., safety, environmental science, engineering, chemistry, biology).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• CIH certification required with CHP knowledge and OSHA Laboratory Standard familiarity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Conduct thorough assessments of R&D work activities to identify health hazards.
• Implement and oversee exposure monitoring programs for hazards (asbestos, lead, radiation, noise, air quality, etc.).
• Develop and maintain industrial hygiene programs (chemical hygiene, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, laser safety).
• Develop and deliver safety training (HAZCOM, lab safety, PPE, respirator fit testing, hazardous materials).
• Evaluate physical, chemical and toxicological properties of substances used in R&D.
• Lead and participate in annual safety and compliance assessments; chair hazard analyses and prepare reports for NETL processes.
