Job summary

Lilly Richmond is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join the API Manufacturing HSE team. You will develop and maintain IH programs, support startup activities, and help build the site culture for GMP operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• 3+ years of Industrial Hygiene experience within cGMP manufacturing (pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing preferred).
• Experience in GMP Manufacturing environment and potent compounds.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project design meetings, support risk assessment and industrial hygiene/exposure control decisions.
• Develop and implement industrial hygiene written programs and applicable trainings.
• Develop and support IH implementation strategy with areas for implementation, troubleshooting, and auditing compliance.
• Participate in HSE operational readiness plan for Lilly Richmond API facility as a collaborative team member.
• Be a technical resource for assigned programs (e.g., hazard communication, exposure assessment, biological safety, PPE).
• Conduct workplace assessments to identify hazards and develop IH monitoring plans (chemical, noise, ergonomics).
• Analyze exposure assessment results and prepare findings reports.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to manage change and ensure safe startups.
• Educate areas on regulatory requirements and implement compliant solutions.
• Complete internal HSE audits, support investigations, and help develop long-term improvement plans.
