Job summary

Bechtel offers U.S. Summer Internship opportunities focused on Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H). Interns will work alongside professionals in IH, safety, and industrial hygiene disciplines on meaningful projects that impact communities worldwide.

The 10-week program runs mid-June through mid-August, with hands-on assignments, professional development, and potential exposure to project teams across Bechtel’s GBUs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related field.
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene monitoring and risk assessment methods.
• Computer skills for data management and reporting.
• Analytical skills related to sampling and monitoring.
• Experience teaching or training others.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and implementation of routine industrial hygiene activities for Safety and Health programs.
• Provide input to project teams to integrate IH requirements into planning and construction.
• Interpret requirements and provide technical assistance on risk assessment and IH plans.
• Identify regulatory requirements and prepare documentation and reports.
• Support ES&H team members and other IH activities.
