Job summary

Safe Air Technology in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Testing and Troubleshooting Technician to test, diagnose, and validate mission-critical HVAC systems before shipment. Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC and electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of compressors, coils, fans, and controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of HVAC units, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Verify system performance against design specifications and operational requirements.
• Execute start-up procedures and ensure all components are operating correctly.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC controls, wiring, and HVAC components to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve defects and implement corrections.
• Document test results, issues, and corrective actions clearly and accurately.
• Support FAT and field troubleshooting as needed.
