Job summary

Equans Services Canada & US in Clearwater, FL is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of industrial HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency with CMMS and BAS/BMS, while ensuring safety and uptime. Ability to work overtime and respond to emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman HVAC/R License or equivalent trade certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• EPA Refrigeration Certification (where required).
• Experience with CMMS for maintenance planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize HVAC and facility mechanical systems to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handlers, RTUs, chillers, pumps, motors, VFDs, ventilation systems, and associated controls.
• Respond rapidly to equipment failures and production-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and equipment life cycle.
• Conduct daily inspections of HVAC and supporting facility equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing operations by maintaining appropriate temperature, humidity, ventilation, and air quality conditions.
• Utilize CMMS to document maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to prioritize work and support production schedules.
• Participate in root cause analysis investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
• Participate in emergency response and on-call support as required.
