Job summary

Bahnson Mechanical Systems, part of EMCOR Group, seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician to maintain and repair complex heating and cooling systems and associated controls on client sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate tasks with the service team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC service, EPA/CFC certification, and strong knowledge of regulations. This role offers a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC system servicing, installing, troubleshooting and repair.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of the HVAC service industry.
• Knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to understand the refrigeration cycle.
• Knowledge of BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and manage urgency.
• EPA certified (CFC) technician.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rooftop HVAC units, heat pumps, DX systems, and controls.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance per maintenance agreements.
• Coordinate inspections with Service Coordinator and schedule work.
• Ensure timely maintenance inspections and proper documentation.
• Maintain professional appearance and service vehicle.
• Handle required procurement and stock for service operations.
• Adhere to company safety rules and participate in safety meetings.
