Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a skilled HVAC maintenance technician for our Mount Holly, NC plant. You will troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, read schematics, and perform mechanical and electrical tasks to keep plant operations safe and efficient.

Qualified candidates will have refrigerant certification, a high school diploma, and preferably an associate degree. The role requires four years of industrial HVAC experience and a good working knowledge of meters and gauges.

Qualifications

• Refrigerant certification.
• High school diploma required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Four years of maintenance HVAC experience in an industrial facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs heating, ventilation, air conditioning troubleshooting and repairs on all plant HVAC equipment.
• Performs high and low voltage electrical troubleshooting repairs.
• Performs pneumatic controls troubleshooting and repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas trains; adjust HVAC equipment.
• Perform mechanical maintenance from work orders and PMs.
• Repair leaks in coils and pipes in HVAC equipment.
• Balance airflows in HVAC systems and paint booths.
• Change filters in plant equipment; install ductwork and sheet metal parts.
• Perform electrical installations on HVAC units and equipment.
• Use meters and gauges to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Repair or replace pumps, sprockets, belts, chains, bearings, etc.
• Perform repairs on boilers and air compressors; troubleshoot chillers.
