Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for maintenance, repair, and installation across a diverse range of equipment and systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics to ensure energy-efficient operation and regulatory compliance.

You will read complex diagrams, plan shutdowns, and collaborate with vendors to source parts while maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• 3-5 years of industrial HVAC experience including chillers.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, piping and wiring schematics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair of pumps and associated equipment.
• Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting and fabrication as needed.
• Read blueprints, piping sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps and fans.
• Install and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning and related distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and modify HVAC systems to optimize energy use.
• Maintain maintenance records per regulations and company policy.
• Order and manage parts and coordinate with vendor accounts.
