Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician in Saint Joseph, MO to join a facilities maintenance team. You will diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and RTUs, with a safety-first approach.

EPA 608 Universal certification and 3–5 years of hands-on experience are required. You will work with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider) and CMMS for maintenance records, with a reliable

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) required.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams; knowledge of safety procedures.
• Experience with BAS/BMS such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider.
• Comfort using CMMS and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and RTUs.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs per EPA and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and building automation systems.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance inspections, document findings and repairs, and track refrigerant usage.
• Support startups, commissioning activities, and functional testing for new or upgraded equipment.

Our client, a facilities and building operations team is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join their team. As anIndustrial HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance team supporting day-to-day operations for managed properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on HVAC troubleshooting strength, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to handle a variety of maintenance work orders while staying organized and responsive.

Job Title: Industrial HVAC Technician
Location: Saint Joseph, MO
Pay Range: $34-$37/hr

What's the Job?

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and rooftop units (RTUs)
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs in compliance with EPA and safety standards
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and building automation systems
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance inspections, document findings and repairs, and track refrigerant usage
• Support startups, commissioning activities, and functional testing for new or upgraded equipment

What's Needed?

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal)
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience servicing refrigerant‑based HVAC systems, including troubleshooting compressors and refrigerant circuits
• Working knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, low‑voltage controls, safety procedures, and the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider
• Comfort using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and strong documentation skills
