Georgia-Pacific is seeking an HVAC Service Technician for our Dudley, NC facility to safely and efficiently manufacture plywood. The role offers growth opportunities, a stable manufacturing environment, and exposure to industrial equipment. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for the right candidate.

Key duties include leading EHS and compliance efforts, improving HVAC asset reliability, and developing asset strategies. Travel up to 10% for training and knowledge transfer is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Five+ years of experience with HVAC systems and loops.
• Minimum three years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading P&ID diagrams and loop sheets.
• US EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.

Aufgaben

• Lead the organization toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety and Compliance by identifying and resolving critical and high risks.
• Improve reliability of HVAC system assets by leading the development, implementation, and execution of check/adjust.
• Own asset strategies for facilities assets and resolve high impact operating issues.
• Lead daily operations of HVAC assets within the facilities team by helping to develop operating targets and equipment setup procedures.
• Troubleshoot and review root cause.
• Ensure assets meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost expectations.
• Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality and planning to ensure efficient operation.
• Improve long term asset performance by understanding the business, mill, and department visions, and identify area needs to meet those objectives.
• Prioritize opportunities and develop a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities.
• Lead or participate in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup.
• Provide technical expertise on HVAC assets and transfer knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction and formal/informal skill building.
• Develop and implement complete Asset Strategies for chillers and HVAC equipment.
• Travel up to 10% of the time for training and teaching.
