Job Description

We're looking for Industrial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technicians in the Indianapolis, IN area to join our growing team at frēijē. The technician will provide preventative maintenance, startup new equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose, and repair various commercial and industrial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment. This role reports to the Industrial Service Manager. This work will be performed on industrial sites such as pharmaceutical manufacturers, power plants, and chemical facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Inspect, troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair HVAC/R equipment
• Document work performed and submit reports on a smart device (iPad or phone)
• Assist with providing information to quote various repair work
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and repair parts
• Explain HVAC issues and repair recommendations to customers
• Adhere to all safety procedures

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of HVAC/R Service Technician experience
• EPA certification (Type I & II) minimum
• High level of safety awareness and security
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively to complete tasks
• Broad knowledge of tools, safety, and electronic equipment within this trade
• Must be punctual, adhere to daily schedules, and handle schedule changes
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders, and aerial lifts
• Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
