Job summary

Safe Air Technology, Inc. is seeking a hands-on HVAC Refrigeration Technician to support the manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of industrial HVAC systems.

This role involves working in hazardous environments with high safety standards. Responsibilities include installing and testing compressors, condensers, evaporators, and valves; performing charging, evacuation, leak testing, and EPA-compliant procedures; and collaborating with engineering to drive design

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC/R or refrigeration systems in industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and controls.
• Able to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.
• Capable of working in a manufacturing/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the manufacturing process.
• Verify proper installation and operation of compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.
• Perform charging, evacuation, leak detection, and pressure testing per EPA regulations and standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues prior to shipment.
• Partner with engineering to identify design improvements and manufacturability enhancements.
• Document testing steps, troubleshooting actions, and corrective actions taken.
• Follow all safety protocols when handling refrigerants and high-voltage systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
