Job summary

San Bernardino County is recruiting for an Air Conditioning Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for County buildings, with the current vacancy at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). The ideal candidate will have four years journey-level HVAC experience or completion of a four-year apprenticeship, and EPA 608 Universal Certification.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of journey-level HVAC experience in installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Completion of a formal 4-year HVAC apprenticeship program or EPA 608 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for County buildings.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of tools/techniques for HVAC systems; work with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers and DDC controls.
