Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join its Building Mechanical team in the United States, with a hybrid work arrangement across U.S. offices and remote locations.

The role focuses on designing HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team, and delivering tailored design packages that meet client requirements. Responsibilities include conceptual to final design development, equipment sizing calculations, and producing construction

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for these systems, including chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
