Job summary

SunSource is looking for a dedicated shop assistant to support various departments including gasket and hose fabrication at McCarty Equipment in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves inventory management, cleaning equipment, and assisting with mechanical seals and hoses.

Ideal candidates will have a GED and some industrial experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. You will work under close supervision and contribute to continuous improvement projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year industrial shop experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Understanding of basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Responsibilities

• Participate in counting inventory and maintaining stock.
• Clean equipment and shop areas.
• Suggest improvements for lean and safety projects.
• Assist in various shop duties under supervision.
