Job summary

Rockwell Automation seeks an Engineering Manager - Hardware to lead a team responsible for PLC, I/O, and communication hardware development from concept to release. You will drive architecture, verification, and production readiness while shaping next-generation industrial platforms.

You will manage a global team, partner across functions, and promote engineering excellence and process improvements to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• Typically 5+ years of technical leadership or people management in electronic hardware development.
• Experience in regulated environments (CE, IEC 61010).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (SAFe).
• Experience developing embedded hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 15–20 hardware engineers and technicians.
• Oversee all phases of hardware product development from requirements to production release.
• Uphold engineering practices in architecture, design integrity, and verification.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Drive organizational initiatives like talent development and process improvements.
• Ensure on-time delivery and a right-first-time approach.
