Location: Cleveland, OH (West Side)
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: $17 to $18 per hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Overview:
As a Grinding Machine Operator-Trainee, you will be trained to operate and maintain various stationary grinding machines to meet precise product specifications. This role offers the chance to build your skills while contributing to the production of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation: Learn to set up and operate stationary grinding machines to shape materials to precise specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance & Adjustment: Maintain and adjust machines as necessary to ensure smooth operation and avoid downtime.
• Production Paperwork: Complete necessary production documentation accurately and on time.
• Tool Usage: Use measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to check and verify dimensions of finished products.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience with stationary grinding machines or in a related field.
• Mechanical & Mathematical Skills: Strong inclination toward mechanics and mathematics for precise machine operation and measurements.
• Comfort with Grinding Materials: Ability to grind various materials safely and efficiently.
• Quick Learner: Willingness to learn new skills at a fast pace.
• Measuring Tools: Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and lift 30+ pounds regularly.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience with hand and power tools.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Background Check & Drug Screen: Must pass a drug screen (including THC) and background check.
