Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA in Wellford, SC is seeking a student engineer to support Corporate Engineering and IG Engineering on improvement projects for the IG assembly plant.

The internship pays $19–$20 per hour, on 1st shift, and requires enrollment in an engineering program. Benefits start day one, with hands-on CAD drafting, technical documentation, and collaboration with internal customers across both office and shop environments.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States on an indefinite basis.
• Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.
• Must have Mechanical /Technical background.
• Must have SolidWorks knowledge or other software required for the job.
• Ability to read and understand parts lists, catalogs, price books, general factory instructions and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Technical communications and the use of Microsoft Office software tools to document/support engineering projects
• CAD drafting (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD) for special parts design or shop tools and layouts
• Understand important criteria in sizing gear reducers and motors - torque, HP, etc.
• Professional interaction with IG internal customers in the office and Shop.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
