Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Houston, TX is seeking a warehouse associate to support production operations within the Warehouse division. You will operate equipment, maintain a clean work area, and participate in safety programs while supporting inventory tasks.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in all weather conditions, and function well in a fast-paced team environment. Prior experience in recycling or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment.
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in performing inventory on materials.
• Grading and inspecting in-bound loads of material; to include making deductions in loads that have excess such as dirt, trash, and/or plastic.
• Sort, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as regulated by law.
