Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a capable team member to join our operations. In this role you will sort materials, operate a forklift, assemble orders, and support shipping activities in our busy facility. You will work in a hands-on environment across a variety of tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Strong ability to communicate with customers, employees and leaders.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or bins by size, type or product code.
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required.
• Perform a range of physical tasks including pulling, pushing, bending, climbing and kneeling.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place in shipping/holding area.
• Assist in unloading/loading customers and inventory.
• Maintain orderly and clean work area at all times.
• Support general duties as needed across the organization
