Job summary

Southwest Shipyard, LP is seeking a technical professional for Channelview, TX. The role focuses on monitoring indicating devices, starting, operating, or shutting down equipment, with work near high-temperature, high-pressure systems and energized machinery.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, and reading technical manuals. This on-site position requires flexibility for rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, at the Channelview location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, millwright work, and MSHA safety functions.
• Prepare asphalt mixtures per customer requirements, load and unload tankers and monitor tanks and assist with paperwork.
• Ensure lock-out and tag-out procedures are performed safely and in compliance with APS guidelines.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
