Job summary

Zeeco is seeking a skilled I/E Flare & Combustion Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair flare systems, thermal oxidizers, and related equipment at customer facilities. The role includes field service support across refinery, petrochemical, LNG, and power facilities, ensuring safe, reliable operation of combustion equipment.

Responsibilities include electrical and instrumentation work, reading schematics, PLC/BMS diagnostics, startup assistance, and on-site safety

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred.
Minimum 3+ years in industrial electrical, instrumentation, combustion, or flare systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
Experience with PLC and control system troubleshooting.
Knowledge of low-voltage industrial electrical systems.
Willingness to travel to customer sites and perform on-call support.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for flare and combustion equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and control narratives.
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, burner management systems, ignition controls, and safety shutdown systems.
Perform electrical terminations and verify wiring of field devices.
Conduct electrical testing with multimeters, megohmmeters, loop calibrators, and diagnostic equipment.
Assist with startup and commissioning of combustion systems.
Travel to customer sites for service, startup, commissioning, and emergency support.
Prepare detailed service reports with findings and recommendations.
